ERIE, PA. (Feb. 15, 2021)
Penn State Behrend is renovating and expanding the Federal House originally built in 1883. The renovation will allow CORE to expand both its school-focused programs and its partnerships with key community groups.
The end result of the renovation project will be “a simple but graceful building that preserves a historic structure”. The original brick structure of the Federal House will be preserved and connected to a new, modern-design building
The Historic Federal House is the oldest brick structure in Harborcreek Township. CEO of Akron Rebar Company; Michael B. Humphrey II stated: “Construction allies such as EE Austin & Son entrust our company on historically significant projects such as the Federal House at PSU Behrend College Campus.” “The entire Akron Rebar Company team is committed to continually earning and maintaining that trust.”
